Welcome to Berkshire Therapy, where our mission is to provide high-quality, client-centered speech therapy services to a diverse range of individuals. Our journey began in Houston, Texas with a vision to make a positive impact on the lives of children through in-home services. Over time, we have evolved and expanded our offerings to include virtual speech therapy services, accent modification training, coaching for aspiring therapy practice owners, and school district contracting.

SERVICES

Speech and Language Evaluations

Includes assessment of receptive, expressive, and pragmatic language through the use of observation, standardized test, and parent/caregiver report. Also, assessment of speech sound production and a client's ability to form sounds for words.

Speech and Language Therapy

We provide nurturing, personalized and developmentally appropriate therapy to meet the needs of each individual client. Our ultimate goal is to advance each client's development toward their maximum potential. Populations served include individuals with Autism spectrum disorders, Developmental delay, Down's syndrome, Attention deficit disorders, Intellectually disabled and others.

Pediatric Feeding and Dysphagia Therapy

Evaluations are conducted to determine the scope and severity of your child’s feeding or swallowing problems. The issue may be with how their mouth works or their sensory perception, it could be behavioral, or it could be a combination of problems. Most children fall into four categories of feeding problems: total food refusal, food selectivity, texture selectivity, and deficits in related skills such as self-feeding or bite regulation.

Accent Modification Coaching

The goal in accent modification training is to help the individual speak effectively so that speech is “listener friendly.” Accent elimination is not the intention of this training. We teach you how to embrace your accent and improve clarity. After a careful analysis of the individual’s speech patterns, a customized training program is designed. Sessions can be completed online.

School District Contracting

We proudly partner with school districts to provide specialized speech therapy services to students. Our experienced therapists provide speech therapy, comprehensive evaluations, case management and work closely with educators to support students' communication needs, ensuring they can succeed in the classroom and beyond.
